In my opinion, projects like Firstep are very beneficial. They give freedom to young people and motivation to think about global challenges, showing that they can influence and be part of the solution.

It took around two to three months to work on my project. I started with a physics prototype in 9th grade and then decided to upgrade it, make it much bigger and use better materials.

As professors and mentors, we can guide students, support them and influence them in a positive direction. The most beautiful answer, however, comes from the students themselves and from the projects they create.

This was my first time, and I was really excited and nervous. After presenting my project to the jury, I realized that I did not need to be that nervous. For me, it went very well and I really enjoyed it.

I personally really liked this competition because everyone had the chance to show their creativity. I also learned about many different topics, and every project was special in its own way.

Our project was about the placebo effect, the power of belief, and how our belief can change many things, even achieving our dreams and goals.
